Terms of Use
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your download and use of the Stupefact mobile application (iOS and Android).
By downloading or using Stupefact, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Who we are

- Romain Fauré, trading as Multumula

- 47 Rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France

Stupefact does not require an account or sign-in.
2. The app
Stupefact is a general-knowledge app. It shows short cultural facts in a scrolling feed.
You can:
- browse facts by selected topics;
- save favorites and view history;
- share a fact;
- open an external source, where available;
- change language and notification settings;
- subscribe to Premium to unlock all topics and remove ads.
A free version is available and may display advertisements.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your country.
Stupefact is a general-audience educational app and is not directed at children. If you are a minor, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, where required by law.
4. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Stupefact on devices you own or control, for your own private use.
You may not:
- copy, modify, sell, or redistribute the app or its content, except as allowed by these Terms or by law;
- reverse engineer the app, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
- use the app to build a competing service or to scrape its content in bulk;
- interfere with the app, its servers, or other users.
All rights not expressly granted remain with us.
5. Content
Facts, texts, images, topics, and other materials in Stupefact are owned by us or licensed to us. They are provided for personal, non-commercial use.
You may share a fact using the in-app share feature. You may not republish the catalog of facts, or use the content for commercial purposes, without our prior written permission.
Sources opened from the app belong to their respective publishers. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
Stupefact does not let users publish their own facts in the app.
We may update, correct, or remove content at any time.
6. Premium
Premium currently includes:
- Premium Monthly — auto-renewing monthly subscription;
- Premium Yearly — auto-renewing yearly subscription;
- Premium Lifetime — one-time purchase, no automatic renewal.
Premium unlocks all topics and removes ads. Features may evolve; we will not reduce paid access in a way that is unfair to existing subscribers without notice.
Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. Their terms and refund rules apply.
For auto-renewing subscriptions:
- payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase;
- the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period;
- your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period;
- you can manage or cancel the subscription in your store account settings;
- uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
You can restore purchases in the app. Lifetime purchases do not renew.
Prices are shown in the store at the time of purchase and may vary by country.
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact Apple, Google, or us at contact@multumula.com.
7. Ads
Non-Premium users may see advertisements served by Google AdMob.
Ads in Stupefact are requested as non-personalized ads. In the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a consent form may be shown first.
You can review advertising choices in Profile → Ad privacy. Premium removes ads.
8. Notifications
Optional local notifications may remind you of facts or of an upcoming trial or renewal. They are scheduled on your device.
You can turn them off in the app or in your device settings.
9. Your responsibilities
You agree to use Stupefact lawfully and not to:
- attempt to bypass Premium, ads, or technical limits;
- use automated tools to overload the service;
- misuse sharing or source links.
Onboarding answers and other local preferences are stored on your device to personalize the app. You are responsible for the information you choose to enter.
10. Availability
We aim to keep Stupefact available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Content, features, and availability may change.
Facts are provided for general information and entertainment. We do not warrant that every fact is complete or up to date. Do not rely on the app as professional advice.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- losses caused by using or being unable to use the app;
- errors in third-party sources, ads, or store payments;
- issues outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep all mandatory rights that cannot be waived.
12. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top is the current version.
If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Continued use of the app after the update means you accept the new Terms, except where the law requires your explicit agreement.

14. Termination
You may stop using Stupefact at any time by uninstalling it. Cancel any subscription separately in the store.
We may suspend or stop providing the app, or restrict access, if you breach these Terms or if we have to do so for legal or security reasons.
Sections that should reasonably survive (including intellectual property, liability, and governing law) remain in effect after termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law.
If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
EU consumers may use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform:
